Default Advice on purchasing a kitten

I have been thinking about owning a cat. I have quite a few research on how to go about doing so in Singapore, however to certain rules pertaining to adoption, I have opted on purchasing a cat/kitten instead. Although I have a specific breed that I would like to purchase, right now I am in the stage of just information gathering.

Base on the lifestyle of my family members and me, I am currently leaning towards a Ragdoll, American shorthair, or Scottish fold. I have been asking around about the possible price range - I do know that pedigree cats are more expensive. I am wondering if at a pet shop would the price range be lower.

If anyone has any contact info or information on how I could go about purchasing one, the possible price range of a kitten. The other alternative is if you know someone who is looking to sell their kittens (breed won't matter in this case)

Thank you.
