Cat (F)
Breed:
Persian
Fur: White
Age: ?
Hi guys.
I found this gorgeous white Persian (think its a Chinchilla) loitering around my house. Apparently it came in through the door. Stray cats do that quite a bit in my house but this one had a bell around its collar, so I could tell someone had either lost or abandoned it. Being a Persian, & a domesticated one, I doubt it can survive in the streets. I've taken it in for a week now. I would love to keep it, but my mother is allergic to cat fur.
I have to say, this cat is the most gentle creature I have ever seen. It sits beside and quietly observes a tiny dying bee on the kitchen floor and never once bore it teeth while being bathed.
She is also extremely affectionate. While most cats are very independent, this one follows you around from room to room. It's obedience never fails to amaze me either. Once you're tired to petting it and walk away, it will follow you for a while but never pesters. My mother refuses to have the cat in my room. She gently shooed it away once, & now, whenever the cat comes up the stairs, it patiently stands before my bedroom waiting for the permission that never comes.
As you can see, she isn't receiving as much affection as she deserves, being in a house with people allergic to her. My mother is usually the only one home until evening and when I get home & play with the cat, I can clearly see it is starving for affection. It's rather pitiful & I really hope one of you can give this deserving animal a home.
